At Whisker Away, we are crazy about animals. As a child,Teresa Herrera (owner) knew she always wanted
to work with animals. She drove her parents crazy with the many, many requests to take in every stray,sick animal.
They were thrilled when she went on to pursue her dream.
She originally went away to college for pre-vet, but unfortunately had to drop out after year one. She later received a
B.A. in Psychology at a local college, but she always knew something was missing in her life.
Twenty years, two children, and numerous pets later, she realized that her heart was
always with the animals. After working at two veterinary offices and at a local pet store, she decided to start
her own pet sitting business simply because pets are her passion.
Even though she has enough pets of her own, and a horse (she refers to them as her boys since they all
happen to be male), she cannot get enough of them. So with love in her heart and a leash in her hand,
she is ready to give your pets all the love and attention they need while you are away.
